Federalist Conventions II & III: Recapping the final party caucuses

On Sunday, the Federalist Party elected state positions that included Governor and Lieutenant Governor. They elected Nolan Reinhardt from Scheiberling County for Governor and Daniel Lynch from Kogutek County for Lieutenant Governor. Reinhardt and Lynch both gave enthusiastic speeches that highlighted certain issues they cared about. Both candidates were very well-liked by the other Federalists. They even received a standing ovation.

“It really inspired me to want to help the world from the government position”

Reinhardt was inspired to run for Governor partly because of his grandmother. He learned many things about politics from talking with her.

Reinhardt said his grandmother “loved to talk politics.” He said that talking with her, “really inspired me to want to help the world from the government position.”

Reinhardt believes that improvements to energy will be a key issue in the race for Boys State Governor and beyond. He would like to look into possibly investing into nuclear energy. Once research is completed, Reinhardt wants to promote increasing the amount of nuclear energy in New York to build and sustain an energy independent state. He will also be willing to negotiate with the Nationalists on certain conditions.

He said he will negotiate if, “they are willing to put forth a common sense argument.”

Reinhardt is very excited for the Boys State Governor election and is confident his party will prevail.

Daniel Lynch: The Lieutenant governor for the Federalists

Daniel Lynch came to Boys State to make a change. He realized that being elected to Lieutenant Governor would be a very effective way to make change happen. Lynch plans to work with the Governor on certain issues in order to make improvements and change for the citizens of Boys State. He also became emotional during his victory speech. Lynch spoke about how his father sadly passed away years ago. He always desired to make his father proud as a result.

Lynch said that accomplishing, “these small goals are a small step towards making my father proud.”

Lynch is very grateful for being elected and is excited to have achieved this amazing accomplishment.
