Everyday one citizen will be chosen at random and interviewed to be the citizen of the day! Today’s citizen is Lukas Albro. Lukas is in the city of McLaughlin, in the county of Schmidt.
Where are you from and what school do you attend?
“Oneida High School, in the city of Oneida.”
Why did you want to come to Boys’ State?
“I came here because I wanted to learn better leadership skills and to learn to march, haha that’s cool.”
Is there anything you hope to gain from Boys’ State?
“I hope to become a man. Yes. I want to be a man and I think Boys’ State can teach me that.”
What are you going to miss most after you go back home?”
“I guess I’ll miss a regular pattern of waking up. But I won’t miss making my bed that way!”
What do you like to do for fun?
“I like to play sports and go ice skating. That’s a lot of fun. My favorite sport is probably baseball.”
What do you want to do after high school?
“I’m not sure where or for what yet, but I know I do want to go to college somewhere.”
Why did you choose to run for State Senate?
“I really wanted to try and make a difference in this state we made.”
