On June 27th, 2018, many members of Boys’ State will be taking a practice version of the New York Bar exam. This exam is used at the end of law school in order to determine if the student is ready to receive his license to practice law. The citizens of Boys’ State will be taking an easier version of this exam that’s taken in a fraction of the time, to compensate for the lack of schooling the boys staters have. The test focuses more on comprehensive knowledge rather than knowledge of law, like an SAT. The exam takers will not receive a law degree if they pass, but they will be able to get one step ahead of the competition on the road to college.
